Learn to Play
Learn to Play is an introductory skills program for all infants and primary school children who want to learn the fundamentals of basketball.
It is designed as an effective pathway for primary school children to develop individual skills and enhance teamwork skills in a fun and safe learning environment for all children.
Each week we will also play a game of Basketball, and help prepare players for the move to our Rookies (U/8 & U/10) or Junior Club Competition (U/12 & U/14).
All new participants receive a FREE Aussie Hoops Player Pack which includes a Basketball, Reversible Singlet & Drawstring Bag.
Where: Newcastle Basketball Stadium, Corner Young & Curley Road Broadmeadow
When: Monday or Tuesday Afternoon
Time: Kinder - Year 4: 4:15pm to 5:00pm
Year 3 - Year 6: 5:00pm to 5:45pm
Learn to Play is an 9-10 week program and in 2012 will run during the following periods:
· Term 1: week beginning Mon 30th January - week finishing Tue 3rd April
· Term 2: week beginning Mon 23rd April - week finishing Tue 26th June
· Term 3: week beginning Mon 16th July - week finishing Tue 18th September
· Term 4: week beginning Mon 8th October - week finishing Tue 11th December
To register click on Registration Form to download. Print and fill-in the sheet then submit it to the Newcastle Basketball Stadium front office.
