Coaches
Newcastle Basketball has a strong and proud tradition of providing great coaching development opportunities possible.
There are a range of opportunities for coaches of all experience levels, including:
· Aussie Hoops Coach (including Learn to Play, Holiday Camps and School Clinics)
· Active After School Communities Coaches
· Rookies U/8s and U/10s Coach
· Junior Club Coach (U/12 and above)
· Hunters Representative Coaches (Head and Assistant Coaches)
· NSW Junior Program Coaching

Education
Beginning Coaching - General Principles
The Australian Sports Commission has developed an online course for beginner coaches.
All junior club coaches must, as a minimum requirement, complete the online course.

Level 1 Coach Accreditation
Our next Level One coaching course will be held on Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23 at Broadmeadow Basketball Stadium. Friday will run from 6-10pm and Saturday is from 7am-3pm. All attendees will need to be available for both sessions
Cost will be $120 which includes a booklet, accreditation and also lunch on the Saturday. Following the course on Saturday will be the Hunters vs Maitland derby which will be a cracker of a game to hang around for.
A reminder for those wishing to attend that you will need to have completed your Level 0 accrediation. This can be done through the Australian Sports Commission website - https://learning.ausport.gov.au/jportal/Courses/tabid/62/Default.aspx
