HUNTERS AWAY FOR TOUGH DOUBLE HEADER WEEKEND

The Newcastle Hunters are on the road this weekend for Round 8 of the Basketball NSW Waratah Championship. Both Men and Women face the Sydney Comets on Saturday night with the Men to back up on Sunday against the Hills Hornets to complete a tough double header weekend.

Round 4 of the Waratah Junior Eastern League was held in Ourimbah last weekend with our Hunters teams putting up some fine results.

On Saturday night the Newcastle Hunters Men easily accounted for Bankstown Bruins 85-71 while the Women struggled to find rhythm in their 69-58 loss at Newcastle Basketball Stadium

NEWCASTLE BASKETBALL SHORTLISTED AT NCC SPORTS AWARDS

Newcastle Basketball has been nominated as finalists in four categories of the City of Newcastle Sports Awards. The Association is up for two awards while staff members Rohan Stevenson and Katie Ebzery have been shortlisted for individual awards.
