The Newcastle Falcons are thrilled to announce the re-signing of point guard Jaidyn Goodwin ahead of the 2026 NBL1 East season.
Goodwin enters his fourth season with the Falcons NBL1 program and his eighth year representing Newcastle, continuing to be a trusted and familiar presence within the club. Known for his leadership, basketball IQ, and playmaking ability, Goodwin provides steady direction in the backcourt and helps set the tone for the team on and off the court.
During the 2025 campaign, Goodwin averaged 2.95 points, 3.15 assists, and 2.10 rebounds per game, contributing consistent effort, communication, and organisation that helped the Falcons remain competitive throughout the season.
Falcons Head Coach Josh Morgan praised Goodwin’s experience and leadership.
“Jaidyn is a key part of our program, both on and off the floor,” Morgan said.
“He knows our system inside out, leads by example, and helps keep the team focused. His presence adds stability and continuity to our roster, which is invaluable as we aim for another strong season.”
Fans can see Goodwin and the Falcons in action at the 2026 season home opener on Saturday, 28 March, when Newcastle hosts the Norths Bears at Newcastle Basketball Stadium.
