We offer a clear development pathway for referees to progress through local, representative, and higher levels of the game, supported by training and guidance from experienced senior officials.

LOOKING TO BECOME A REFEREE?
Start by completing the FREE online BNSW Community Referee Course. No prior experience is required to undertake this course, however participants must be at least 12 years old prior to actively beginning on the court.

Once you’ve finished, please email your completion certificate to referees@newcastlebasketball.com.au. Our team will then contact you with the next steps.
BNSW COURSES
The Association Referee Courses consist of Community, Development, Intermediate and Advanced. From this point Basketball NSW provides accreditation for State level grades.
