A message to members – Hunter Indoor Sports Centre proposal
We understand that many of you have reached out and asked the best way to show your support for our application to construct a new stadium and we also understand you all feel more strongly about actively demonstrating this support since the announcement that a motion has been proposed for this Tuesday’s City of Newcastle council meeting to request support is withdrawn for the proposed site in our application. In order to make sure you have a chance to help, below are two ways you can currently do that:
Although we believe the City of Newcastle Councillors who will consider the proposed motion this Tuesday are well informed of the impact this decision would have on not only the project, but also the possibility the new stadium would ever be built if this motion was supported, we do want you to have an opportunity to have your say. In order to do this, we would recommend completing the form below, which will generate a templated e-mail you can then send to councillors which positively expresses your support for the new stadium:
Along with demonstrating your support to local councillors, the other productive way to show your support for our proposal is to provide a positive submission to our SSDA application. This can be done here. The application is still on exhibition for a few more weeks, so you can view all of the supporting information we have provided before adding your support through the links on this page.
