EOI’S NOW OPEN – 2027 Junior Falcons Coaching Committee – HERE
Newcastle Basketball is establishing the ‘Falcons Coaching Committee‘ to support the development of our junior representative coaches and strengthen the coaching culture across the Falcons program.
The Committee will bring together experienced basketball people from a range of backgrounds to share knowledge, mentor coaches, support coach development and help build consistency in the Falcons coaching environment.
Commitment
The Falcons Coaching Committee is intended to be an active and hands-on coaching development group, rather than a committee that meets only to discuss coaching.
Committee members will be expected to:
- attend a formal Committee meeting approximately once per month;
- participate in a Falcons Coaches Meeting approximately once per fortnight;
- be regularly present at Falcons training sessions and/or games, with an expectation of involvement on the floor at least twice per week;
- provide mentoring, support and feedback to Falcons coaches;
- contribute to coach education and development activities; and
- work collaboratively with other Committee members to support the implementation of the Falcons Identity Framework.
We recognise that availability will vary between individuals. The EOI process is intended to understand both your capacity to contribute and the type of contribution you would like to make. Any specific availability or commitment considerations can be discussed as part of the selection process.
