The McDonald’s Newcastle Falcons are pleased to announce the return of local talent Alex Clinton for the 2025 NBL1 Season.
The 25-year-old guard enters his third NBL1 season with the Falcons after a strong junior basketball career in Newcastle, where he represented both his hometown and NSW Country before earning a scholarship to St Martin’s University in Washington State.
Across last NBL1 season Alex made a positive impact off the bench, averaging 4.7 points and 1.6 rebounds per game.
“I’m looking forward to Alex returning and hopefully increasing his role within our team this year, and many more to come,” Head Coach Josh Morgan said.
“He continues to be an incredible shooter and works hard on that component of his game. He’s added size and significant leg strength over the off-season which are optimistic signs for us in the pre-season.”
“Alex is another great person and teammate, works hard at himself on the court and we’re looking forward to grand contributions from him this year!”
The Falcons men and women will play their 2025 season home opener on Saturday 29 March against the Sydney Comets. See the full 2025 NBL1 East Draw HERE.
