Newcastle Basketball is seeking a visionary NBL1 Women’s Head Coach & Women’s Program Lead to drive excellence across our Senior Women’s Program and Pathways.
The Opportunity
You will:
- Lead & Coach the Newcastle Falcons Women’s NBL1 team to competitive excellence.
- Inspire & Develop players and coaches across the Senior Women’s Program and Pathways (Youth League, Waratah Women, U18s) to create a clear and supportive journey from junior to senior basketball.
- Shape Culture by embedding an inclusive, values-driven environment that fosters both high performance and athlete wellbeing.
- Collaborate & Engage with coaches, staff and stakeholders to align the Women’s program goals and resources.
What you bring
- A minimum Basketball Australia Association Coach Accreditation (formerly Level 2).
- Proven coaching experience at elite, state or national level.
- A track record of success creating a high-performance environment that balances excellence and player welfare.
- Demonstrated experience developing female athletes and building strong pathways that support athlete engagement, development and retention.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to enabling a positive, united and inclusive culture across the Senior Program and Pathways
