Why Join the Scoretable Team
The scoretable crew is the heartbeat of every match, working alongside referees, coaches and statisticians to keep the game fair, accurate and on time. It’s a fun, rewarding way to stay involved in basketball and build new skills in teamwork, communication and focus.
Roles You Can Take On
There are a range of roles both voluntary and paid positions within Newcastle Basketball that may suit you, from beginners to experienced officials:

Scorer – Records points, fouls and substitutions.

Timekeeper – Manages the game clock and scoreboard.

Chairperson – Leads the table team and liaises with referees.

Shot Clock Operator – Controls the 24-second clock during play.
